Commencing Practice January 1st, 2007

Rummonds & Mair, An Association of Attorneys is a boutique California law firm based on the California Central Coast in Santa Cruz County, California. The firm provides representation to selected clients from its main office in Aptos, California and satellite offices located from San Diego to Seattle. The Firm handles a small number of significant cases at any given time and accepts engagements only after careful review and preliminary screening.

R&M is committed to advancing the highest quality and standards of professional conduct and practice in the legal profession. We meet this commitment both through stringent observance of the highest ethical and professional standards in our own work, and through the zealous and skilled prosecution of plaintiff’s professional negligence cases. The Firm accepts compelling cases without regard to local politics or collegial relationships.

Many of our cases are accepted through the referral of potential clients from a lawyer in the client’s local community who does not practice in the area of Professional Liability or may not be willing to press a suit against their local colleague. We welcome inquiries directly from prospective clients or their existing local counsel.

In addition to professional liability matters, the Firm also accepts engagements and referrals in a variety of other Practice Areas where the case warrants skilled and high quality representation commensurate with the firm’s qualifications and experience. The Firm’s cases cover a broad spectrum of disputes ranging from Complex Business Litigation to Catastrophic Personal Injury.

The firm’s clients benefit from over 100 years of collective practice experience and distinguished academic credentials with degrees from Harvard Law School, Stanford School of Law and the McGeorge School of Law. The Firm’s members include a former Assistant United States Attorney, a member of the Stanford Law School Clinical faculty and a former member of a United States Presidential Commission.
